Frequently Asked Questions

Q -Can I remove the plug and RCD to hard wire the electric to my Washloo?

A -Absolutely, this does not void your warranty as long as you have an up to date consumer unit/trip switches. Most installations are done this way using a switched fused spur

Q -Can I connect the Washloo to a shaver socket or extractor fan electric supply?

A -No, not normally as the electric supply is normally a lower voltage and/or not big enough

Q - How else can I connect the electric?

A - You can remove the plug/RCD, feed the cable through to an adjoining room with a normal socket, re-attach the plug and simply plug in. Another option is to have a suitably rated IP socket installed next to the toilet or under/in a vanity unit (for example under the sink if it is next to the toilet)

Q -Can I install a Washloo on a gravity fed system (tank in the loft)?

A -No, not normally. Washloos require equivalent to constant mains pressure of between 0.8bar (for seat attachments and some all-in-ones) and 2-2.5 bar for the jet flush type all-in-one smart toilets (see the descriptions which will show the required pressure for each product)

Q -How long is the electric cable?

A -Washloos are supplied with 1.5mtrs of cable.

Q -Can I purchase a Washloo VAT EXEMPT if I am disabled or have a chronic illness?

A -Yes of course! We will need your name and type of disability/chronic illness for our records. Send us an email using the contact form below and we can arrange the VAT to be deducted before you purchase

Q -My Washloo seems to have turned off or there is no power?

A -If you still have an RCD attached, press the main "Reset" button in the middle firmly. This may have tripped due to slight electrical current variations in your property to protect itself. You can also turn the unit off for at least 1 minute and turn back on to do a hard reset

Q - How long is the Warranty?

A - Market leading 2 year warranty, full parts and labour

Q - How long is Delivery?

A - Normally 1-2 days for seat attachments and 2-3 days for pallet deliveries

Q - How do you connect the water?

A - We supply a T-piece with internal filter(s) and pipe (6mm white plastic or braided hose depending on model/type) that connects to your existing COLD ONLY water supply at your toilet (no need for hot water as the unit heats the water itself)

Q - The Washloo is on but there is no water?

A - Check the T-piece filters are not clogged and clean them.

Q - Where can I view your products?

A - Currently we are an online only store but you are more than welcome to arrange a visit to our warehouse in North Wales. We will need prior notice. We are looking to roll out display models towards the end of this year to our retailers.

Q - What does VR and DR mean?

A - VR means "V"-shaped and "R"emote Control. DR means "D"-shaped and "R"emote Control

Q - I live in a hard water area, will this still work?

A - Yes, as long as you have a water softener filter in place. Some of our models come with one as standard.
